Equality For All!

It just makes me fucking frustrated. Why are people still against the whole idea of homosexuality/bisexuality. WHY?! Heard about that Miss California contestant? Well apparently, Carrie Prejean (I’m so angry as I say her name) was asked a question by openly gay celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

His question was “Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?”

Her answer was “Well I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one way or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. You know what, in my country, in my family, I do believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there. But that’s how I was raised and I believe that it should be between a man and a woman. Thank you”

In my opinion, every state should follow suit. What is wrong with same sex relationships? Why are homsexuals/bisexuals discriminated? They’re people, just like everyone else. They just have a difference in preference when it comes to relationships. There’s nothing wrong with that.

I don’t like strawberry ice cream. You don’t see me telling someone off because they like strawberry ice cream. It’s their preference. They have a right to have a preference.

How does being around someone who’s homsexual/bisexual affect you? It doesn’t. It’s not like they’re pervs and they’re going to start touching you. God damn it. Sorry, I’m just really pissed off right now.

Oh, here’s what’s worse. When people start saying that homosexuality/bisexuality is shunned by God and stuff. I hate it when people say that God hates gay people. It has nothing to do with religion. If God didn’t want gay people, he wouldn’t have created them!

Okay, I know she has a right to her own opinion, but come on…

Times are changing. I just wish people would be more open. Accept everyone regardless of their race/religion/sexual orientation. Gay/bisexual./Lesbians are some of the coolest people. I have some friends who are gay and some friends who are bisexual, and they’re like the coolest people I know.
